Managing your organization's people and controlling access to their applications does not need to be overwhelming. This guide helps you get your first application and single sign-on (SSO) off the ground. The Identacor Learning Center helps you manage a variety of Identacor features, including dashboard reports, application management, user access and authorization management, and enterprise security. In this guide, we offer tips to manage your users and applications, and help you ensure that users get secure and simple access to their applications with a single click!
In this guide, you will learn how to:
- Log in to your Identacor account.
- Add and configure an application for single sign-on.
- Learn about the various types of integrations that Identacor supports.
- Assign users to applications.
- Access your application using single sign-on (SSO).
To begin, we will give you an overview of how Identacor works and how cloud SSO makes applications more secure.
Are you using Identacor for the first time?
No problem! After you sign up an account for Identacor, you can create a customized subdomain. The customized subdomain makes your Identacor page easier to fetch and more memorable. You can use the same custom URL to access the Identacor dashboard as an administrator.

Integration methods include:
- SAML 1.1/SAML 2.0
- Secure Auto-Login (Browser Extension)

Each method is covered in detail below with appropriate and relevant examples. Depending on your needs and environment, you can employ any SSO integration method. You can manage your apps and SSO integrations with one of the following options.

The primary step is to search and locate a desired application in the Identacor Application Catalog.
Do the following to add an app from the Identacor Application Catalog:
- Log in to your Identacor Dashboard and go to Applications.
- Click Application Catalog.
- Search and locate the desired application in the catalog.
- Click the Add link next to the right of the SSO Integration Type column.
You are now redirected to the application-specific Identacor Getting Started tab where there is a detailed step-by-step guide to the configuration process.
Identacor Secure Auto-Login extension enables you to use SSO for a broader range of applications. The extension automatically allows you to sign in to your favorite applications that normally ask you to enter your credentials.
To use the Identacor Secure Auto-Login, the browser extension must be installed. The extension is available for major browsers, such as Safari, IE, Firefox and Chrome.
Can Auto Login be used without the Browser Extension?
Yes! You can use auto-login by using the FORM Post method. In this method, the application does post to an application's login page URL without requiring the browser extension to be installed. This configuration process involves finding the username and password parameters (CSS selectors) on the login page.
Takeaway: Adding applications using the Form POST method is quick with Identacor. Follow the link to guide you through the process of configuring the Form POST application for SSO with an application called Seamless Docs.
There are Web applications that support SAML 1.1 or SAML 2.0. With SAML, Web applications do not require passwords or credentials to enter the app. The Identacor Application Catalog includes over 2500 pre-configured applications that are ready to integrate with SAML in a only few configuration steps. For SAML apps not available in the application catalog, Identacor offers SAML 1.1 and SAML 2.0 template apps that allow you to connect to any SAML 1.1 or SAML 2.0 supported application.
To log into the application, your company's users must be assigned to the application. When assigned, the application's tile link (icon) appears on your application portal page.
Click the Tile Link on the Application Portal Page
A tile link displays on your Identacor dashboard for all of the applications that assigned to you for access. To sign in to an application, click the application tile link. This logs into the application.
The Application SSO URL
From a company portal or other external location, you can use the application’s single sign-on (SSO) URL to advertise access to an application.
To get the SSO URL for an application, do the following:
- Navigate to the application's Getting Started tab.
- Navigate down to the Sign In Now! section where the URL is located.
You can now sign in to this application outside of Identacor.
